“You will never find the love your parents couldn’t or didn’t give you.

They tried their best.

It’s gone, it’s lost.

It was gone and lost for them too.

And instead of trying to find it in someone or something else,

or judging others and ourselves, we can find that love when

we learn to turn inwards to discover a safe connection with ourselves.

Anger, fear, hurt and sadness can show us the way home to all the

places where we have been hurt, shamed, felt abandoned, lonely

and in despair.

 

But most of us have never experienced a safe

environment that allowed ourselves to feel everything and trust

our emotions fully. We grew up in a world that taught us to distract

ourselves, to suppress, to disconnect, run away and judge,

what was often too painful to feel in the absence of an emphatic witness.

With somatic-based inquiry you will learn tools that help you uncover suppressed emotions and tension, and to find unconditional love for all the parts of you that you have been judging before. And you will  slowly discover a love that your parents could never fully give you. A love that we have continuously  been trying to find in the outside – in relationships, in our work or spiritual aspirations, or in soothing ourselves with food and drink – in order to  make us feel better or to avoid feeling emotions fully.

Yet when we inquire deeply, we can move through layers of physical tension, mental judgement and emotional resistance into vulnerable places. When our body releases and processes long forgotten emotions, we can simultaneously discover acceptance and unconditional “self-love” within us, that reaches our heart through all the pain and from beyond all the trauma of our life and this world. It’s a gentle love and an authentic acceptance of ourselves that offers true peace, and a softening of our very being.

When we find a safe space to feel EVERYTHING and our mind becomes an emphatic witness, there is nothing we need to „get rid off“, there is nothing we need to „solve“ or „fix“, there is nothing we need to improve or run from.

Somatic processing teaches our mind to listen inwards and recognise resistance to sensations, emotions, thoughts and to allow these contrasts which cannot be solved by logic. It will redefine our relationship with our flaws and shortcomings and all that we judge as somehow dysfunctional or broken.

And as we release emotional tension we become less triggered and can finally relate to others with more calm and clarity and authentic boundaries that are not driven by anger but authenticity. As we learn to receive „body-feedback“and to recognise a somatic „Yes“ or „No“ it confirms  that we are on the right path.

Addictions can fall away, chronic tension and pain can ease, our beliefs and deficiency stories stop colouring how we experience ourselves and the world around us.

As the suppression of emotions lifts, we get a chance to feel more alive with what is. Whether it is a joy or a pain.

In the end it was never about “being happy”, but about reconnecting and step by step truly coming home to our authentic Self.
